The results are in for Sevier County’s real estate sales last year and the numbers are excellent. In 2005 residential sales as reported through the Great Smoky Mountains Association of Realtors totaled 2,930 units with a total value of just under $575,000,000 and an average sales price of $196,208. This compares very favorably with 2004’s average of $178,061 and 2,218 units for a total volume of $394,939,715.
In 2005 Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Wears Valley, and Sevierville had the most dollar volume in sales with Townsend, Pittman Center, and Wears Valley having the highest per unit average sales prices.
